I have spent the past 2-1/2 months in Central America where, with the exception of four nights that I spent at or above 9,000′ of altitude, the weather was never once as cold as it has been upon my return to Seattle.  The last night I spent in Seattle, May 1, I wore a pair of blue jeans, wool socks, a long-sleeved shirt and a wool sweater as I sat before my fireplace and finished packing for my trip. Last night, July 19, I wore a pair of blue jeans, wool socks, a long-sleeved shirt and a wool sweater as I sat before my fireplace and finished un-packing from my trip.

The trip was good and at some point expectant readers can expect an anecdote or two and some accompanying photos from my adventures. Until then, and especially for those of us foolish enough to live in such terrible climes, keep the fires burning and the wool sweaters close at hand.
