I have extensive experience working as a writer, editor, content strategist, proofreader, idea-generator and all around communications problem-solver.

Most of my work involves helping clients translate the ideas in their heads to the outside world. This requires me to be a good listener who communicates clearly, while also being responsible for creating content that is concise, useable and engaging. I enjoy this process as well as collaborating with design teams craft a great finished product.

UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON

Fall 2021 — Present

I’ve been fortunate to work in a variety of roles with UW. Currently, I help create content for the NWCPHP website. This involves interviewing SME’s and researching topics to create compelling stories, drive audience engagement, and ensure brand consistency. I’ve also been responsible for managing content across the University’s Continuum College and redesigning their Medical School’s website.

OPPORTUNITY EDUCATION FUND

Spring 2023 — Winter 2023

I was fortunate to work with this great nonprofit to improve their content and storytelling across several different channels, including their web page, blog and emails, and subsidiary projects.

HEY, ADVERTISING

Winter/Spring, 2021

I helped this local design agency with several projects, including an annual newsletter, web copy, and social media posts. This involved working directly with the design team, various project managers and various clients.

CLYDE GOLDEN DESIGN AGENCY

Winter — Summer 2020

In this position I helped create innovative, on-brand content for a financial tech agency. This involved collaborating with designers and strategists to deliver a rich and engaging monthly email newsletter. I was also responsible for creating web copy, sales sheets, video scripts, social media content, and more. This position was unfortunately cut short by Covid.

Spring 2018 — Summer 2019

In this position I was responsible for innovative and strategic initiatives to drive and maintain brand identity and tonal consistency. I worked with cross-functional teams to ensure effective content creation and marketing communications across multiple platforms, including web, app, blog, and email, for both internal and external stakeholders.

For this job I worked with a local sushi shop to help design, create and implement a website, as well as sales sheets, ad copy and social media posts.

Spring 2018

Being from Detroit I love hockey, and when this design agency called asking for help with the Key Arena redesign I was ready to go.

CHIDORI MASSAGE

Spring 2018 — Present

I helped a local massage therapist design and create a website, advertising materials and social media posts. This also involved a lot of strategic thinking to help differentiate her business from others in the market. So far, even with the Covid setback she continues to grow and expand.
